Original motor removed. Prepare engine bay for the GT500 motor.
'08 GT500 motor arrives at shop.
'08 GT500 motor prepared with aftermarket parts for installation.
Aftermarket engine coolers, fuel rails, throttlebody, & lower pulley.
Four precision fuel tank hat, fuel pumps, & MDM driver.
Original MDM driver & relays installed in rear cab & firewall changed to return style fuel system.
Triple Walbro HP fuel pumps, installed in fuel hat & fuel tank.
So why did a customer do this project??

Aeromotive fuel filter installed on frame rail. Modified exhaust & installed O2 bung to accomodate the GT500 motor.
3v engine harness & 4v engine harness before modifying.
Aftermarket 4R75W & torque converter.
When you love your GT500 Mustang so much why not have your Ford truck match! This customer came across an '08 GT500 motor from a dealer and proceeded to have it crated up and sent to Hux Racing. Since Hux is used to the fabrication of odd motor swaps and wiring, this was yet another unique project to put under their belt. Currently the truck fires up and is ready to tune with the 3V factory ECU using SCT. A trip to Pennsylvania to meet up with Jon Lund at Evolution Performance is scheduled this month.

Update....
Back from the trip and ran into issues with the fuel system. The setup is hungry for fuel! Back to upgrade mode. Jon Lund was able to run through the SCT programmer and setup the driveability, idle startup, and shift points. The final tune will be done by remote with Jon Lund at Hux Racing's dynojet.

Update 11/11/09- New fuel system in place, definitely have fuel pressure now.

Update 11/20/09- Finished remote tuning with Jon Lund. 630rwhp/555 torque @ 19psi boost. Checked driveability on street, definitely passed the test with joy! Next up, brake upgrade with of course GT500 brake calipers & 15" rotors.

Update 1/15/10-Hux custom made brake adapter plates for using the front GT500 brakes & rotors with custom lines. Installed rear ladder bars for needed traction. Laid down 300' of rubber confirming traction!
Truck's first outing after the swap. Attended the 2nd annual Dixie Spooktacular Car Show presented by Dixiemusclecars.com, Birmingham F-body Association, & Southern Stang Mustang Club.

Eric Hux used a CMM to get dimensions for making the front brake adapter plates. Waterjet the plates. GT500 brake & rotor compared to OEM factory F150 4x4 front brakes.
